As with many businesses, organisations and people around the world, the Yorkshire Schools Dance Festival team has watched the unfolding CV19 crisis with bewilderment and uncertainty.
We've been waiting on guidance from the Government and the event industry to determine whether or not the planned 2020 event can still go ahead. Things are still not clear. We're keeping the dates open (7th/8th and 14th/15th November) but will hold back on opening registration until things are certain. To ensure you're the first to hear, make sure you're signed up to our mailing list.
If cancellation becomes a necessity, we'll look towards other ways of keeping the event alive. We know that the event has become a much valued (and looked forward to) part of school and youth dance across the region. Quite simply, we don't want children and young people to miss out.
Some of the options we're exploring are using a digital platform for performances and a replacement event early in 2021. Whatever happens, normal service will resume in late 2021 and the dates are already set - 13th/14th & 20th/21st November.
We'll keep you updated over the coming weeks and months as things unfold. If you'd like to get in touch you can email the team - hello@yorkshireschoolsdancefestival.co.uk
